It all happened in late August.
It wasn’t great, I must say.
At the end of the month I started to feel an itch in my throat. I didn’t think much of it at first, but it quickly morphed into debilitating chest pain, fever, congestion in my lungs, and full body aches. I’ll spare the gross sick details of it, because I did live reactions to my illness on Bluesky, but it resulted in a month long recovery through September.
In the end we went to the ER because of the the chest pain, and later a clinic visit where my labs showed: Nothing. The swabs sent in for testing also came up negative, so we still don’t know WHAT took me out, but it was bad and it was a long recovery process.
So all I have to show for it is about $2000 worth of bills.

Financial recovery is gonna take even longer than my physical recovery did, so I’m soft launching my ko-fi to help build back my savings.

It’s a little tip jar that doubles as my online storefront. You can now get goodies that have only been available at in-person events. It’s a great time to grab some cute prints and stickers from me, and a great way to give during these upcoming holidays. Get a little something for your friends AND yourself!
If you just wanna toss a few bucks my way this is the place to do it!

Adopts on VGen

Alongside commission services, Vgen also has a digital shop feature! I’ve got some super cute bunny adopts available NOW, with plans to upload more as I make them. Give them a look, I’m keen to have these cuties go to good homes (and if you’d like one of these as a pngtuber, I’m happy to turn them into one for you ehehehe).
Springeddon was HUGE!

This year Kale booked up a DOUBLE BOOTH making the space twice the size from our our previous set up, and y’all it was AWESOME. We ended up with a pole (not pictured) in front of our booth but you know what? We used it in our favor:

We created a host of new products (which I’ll showcase in the next section) that were a BIG hit! It was a fantastic weekend, and one of our best sales events ever! We felt the love and though we are soooooo tired it was sooooooooo worth it. Thanks to all the amazing fans and friends who came by and shopped from us! We hope to keep bringing our best to you with every new event!

Merch in The Works
Because of Spring Armageddon, I hustled to get new products created in time for the show. I mean, I really hit the pavement hard to make these ones.
Charms, charms, charms!

First up I created A BUNCH of new phone and bag charms! They all look SO GOOD and shine so beautifully in the light!

My phone case is totally busted so I’ve instead hung my Pikmin charms all over the place, including my precious Lammy.

I spent time creating unique backing cards for each of my charms, perfect for consignment shop owners! I host my goods in my hometown Stockton in Little Shop on the Mile and I just love making packaging for my products. It really gives them that professional vibe that I’m obsessed with.

Brand new Posters!

I also created two new last minute prints (with a third on the way!), and WOW the sleeper hit was my Severance print! I honestly didn’t expect that. So thanks for showing so much love for that poster! I envisioned these two as A3 posters, but I have these available at A5 postcards for online purchase.

I’m working on a Link print… what do we think gang?

NEW: LOZ Zine now in the library!

I’ve finally uploaded my Breath of the Wild Child zine onto the ChicoBug PDF library. This will be the first time it exists as a digital download! That’s pretty big, as I’ve been wanting to upload this for AGES! I mean, I printed this waaaay back in 2017, so at least THAT long that it hasn’t been online, wild.

Just a few more things…
I’ve been doing quite a lot, even through my rest and recovery. I’ll talk more about what’s been happening in the next newsletter. We’re coming up to the end of the year, and I’ll be back in the US in December. Can you believe I’ve been in New Zealand for nearly and whole year? Big stuff!

From the Pastry Cabinet
I haven’t been consuming much media recently because I been clawing my way back to stability, BUT if you want some good tunes Joanna Newsom is great and all her music is on youtube! Here are two of my favs.
I loooove crafting vids, and seeing crafters make stuff inspires me to pursue other creative hobbies. Check out this creator’s felt creatures, they’re AWESOME!
More Newsletters for you to enjoy~
